Advocacy

All of our attorneys practice Elder law as a calling.  They are passionate about assisting those who face health care related challenges.

Attorney Scott Severns has been particularly active speaking out for those adversely and unjustly affected by systems and circumstances that can easily overwhelm those of lesser means or lesser health.

Most recently he has been speaking out and representing clients who have been denied Medicaid or food stamps due to Indiana's experiment in "privatizing" administration of these vital programs.  Lives are being seriously and adversely affected and the losses and heartache suffered are unnecessary.  Please see the TV clip here on his current efforts to help.

The firm has one class action case in litigation that has resulted in 13,000 Hoosiers having their Medicaid benefits restored.

If you or someone you know has suffered a loss vital services due to FSSA errors and neglect, call our office or e-mail Janet Patterson, janetup@severns.com.  While we cannot offer free legal representation to all of those in need, we will listen to your story to see if we might be able to help through class action litigation or offering other resources that may help.

I Care About This Too!
To see how you can find out more about getting involved or to tell us your experience,
